Did I say 'joys'? Yuck! Rode in the local Great Pumpkin Metric yesterday. Registered to ride the 65 mile route but bailed to the 34 mile route because of the blasted wind!

Temps in the 40s with winds at 20+ MPH at the ride start and never let-up...what a frickin' joy...NOT! At least I rolled over the 500 mile mark for the year...not bad considering I didn't start riding until the beginning of August...
I wanted to get a metric century in before the weather gets really out of hand...have to wait until next year, then get a real century in...(100 miles...
