Greetings Cyclists! (from a rookie)

Tennis and running had to take a back seat after I tore my ACL. Road biking has been the salvation. Spring, summer, fall I can manage two days per week on my 40 mile work commute (round trip; California weather). I've managed 7 Centuries (100) so far; love it. Let me see - what gear ratios should I change to this month (always modifying something).

Take care,
Nickw1

PS Is it my imagination or is a steel road bike more interesting to ride than a carbon roadie?
