I've been biking this route for 20 sum years and have to say it is really disappointing to not be able to bike the section they have closed off. But most important is that the new path after you cross the bridge if you're heading north is dangerous. I think I counted 5 driveways that cut across the path and I've already had 3 occurrences where the driver didn't see me and just crossed the path. One guy was driving out crossing the path looking only left because he was going to turn right, so of course he didn't see me. So beware heading north on the bike trail along Logan Ave. The other way was safer and scenic
