Bikes: GMC Denali Road Bike, Quest XFire Mountain Bike

Really appreciate the posts about the GMC Denali Road Bike. I know a lot of thought and research goes into picking out the right bike for you and I did just that. After hours of research and viewing positive and negative remarks on this particular bike, I decided to go ahead and purchase it. Well an early Fathers Day gift actually. Not only is it eye catchy( love the yellow and black color scheme), so far I have owned the bike for 3 days and have put over 24 miles on it. I wasn't really worried about the weight of the bike as I have been riding a mountain bike and still will at times, and since hitting the road with this bike I have hit the 10 mile marker faster and feel the need to keep on going. Yes repairs on this bike may come, it is only natural after time parts break down. Like others, I am hoping to record many miles of riding and in the same time shed pounds. I am new to this style of riding, but so far I am loving it. I want to ride in events for causes and not race with this bike, more of a distance riding, but you have to admit it, being american made it stands up along side others. Heck, I know this sounds silly, but would if Walmart sponsored you to ride it in events (or a GMC Denali tour for some sort of cause like your local tour de cure) and provided you parts and bikes? Well, we know that may never happen, but I will look into that for myself. Thank you everyone for sharing your thoughts, concerns, etc. Stay safe and keep biking!
