So do I but my time isn't unlimited and I have more than one bike. There is always something to do. When one is wasting time screwing around with a chain when the BB/headset/wheel bearing maintenance (as well as a 100 other small things that need attention on a bike) goes undone for years at a time then perhaps some priorities are not quite ordered correctly.
Good point.
I too get pressed for time occasionally and will "freshen" my chain with a little bit of 30wt. and through wipedown between major cleaning and lubing.
