It kind of sounds like a good idea, but it probably won't pan out. I think someone needs to develop a more advanced, newer bicycle helmet that is a whole lot better than the standard styrofoam helmets that are used today.
I think we should abandon the whole stupid idea of helmets, and focus on what really matters for safety, e.g., proper cycling behavior and improved motorist education.
