If you get the updated frame with the really messed up looking chainstay (which is a good thing in this case), I think this would be a decent sunny weather bike. Keep in mind that a decent build from the bottom up will cost you at least $400 on top of the cost of the frame, and that's on the very low side of the cost spectrum.
Duly Noted. I anticipate it will cost me a bit more so I will have to space out my purchases. Fortunately, my secret vise is that I love it when my room is littered with un-assembled bicycle components
