Rider Returning to bikes after 25 years... OY!

Hello Everyone,

My sister motivated me to get back into riding. The last time I was serious, Reagan was president and I was half the age I am now!

I'm in Southern California and looking forward to getting back on the Santa Ana River Trail. There was a time I could do the entire length in one shot....oh how the fortunes have changed! Maybe they've added some campsites along the way???

I took one of my sons on the trail about 7 years ago and I kept telling him...It's ok if we don't do the whole thing. He finally gave in

Anyway, the biggest thing I'm trying to adjust to is the fact that I cannot ride 20mph for hours... that train has sailed

Glad to have found this site and hope to be making some progress. Last year I was at an all time high of 286 and now down to 255 but want to lose more. I'm really trying to stay motivated because I really need to lose the gut.

Looking forward to being here,
Nigel
