There is still the Singer Corporation in existence. But their sewing machines are now, to put it mildly, imported junk. People who are unsuspecting that Singer is no longer their mother's or grandmother's company with the same workmanship or even practice quality control and buy their machines are in for a real surprise.

I hope that this new Dahon will take a different track and move toward better (and profitable) future. May the younger Mr. Hon enjoy success and happiness in his new founded direction of business. Plus don't lose his family or his shirt in the process.
ok I am sitting here in the Dahon Office in Taipeh, with a strong Starbucks Coffee and the knowledge that i need to make up some 12 hours sleep sometime in the very near future...
Other than that,.,,,,, there are no plant closings ( quite the opposite) there is no run into obsoletless , no rush to make a buck ..there will be no junk, no matter if the old dahon or the new Dahon ( in lack of a better name) David Hon has prooven in the past that he can make excellent bikes in China and he will continue doin so.... Josh has over and over surprised us with better accoessories, components and a steady improvement of the bikes itself. I am sure the bikes we will see tomorrow will further improve the overal folding bike experience..... They are sitting next door, but I will wait patiently like evrybody else wait and take a peek tomorrow.
In other words everybody relaxe, no doomsday stuff here, just another great batch of wonderful folders for all of us to enjoy ...

stay tuned
