these threads pop up several times a week (a day sometimes) so members who have been here awhile can get little annoyed & would prefer new members to lurk/search/read through old threads before creating yet another "what bike?" thread. That said, @ $279 shipped the Windsor Hour: http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/windsor/thehour.htm seems to be an attractive & reliable poor people bike.
