Today, I was riding through the parking lot at the property managed by you folks in King City (located on the SW corner of SW Durham Rd, and 99W), when I found these grates in area where I could have very easily been riding.
One is located in front of Postal Connection, the other is located between Panda Express and Baskin & Robbins. There were other grates that I saw that were not in areas that I'd be likely to travel, but I didn't do a thorough search through the property looking for others.
As you can see from the photographs, my wheel (a 700x38C) easily fits between the bars, and a sudden stop could send me crashing into the ground. In fact while I was photographing the B&R one, I was approached by a man who told me that he needed over 9 hours of surgery to repair the damage to his eye socket, mouth, and nose when he hit a grate in a similar situation. I'm aware of two cases of similar crashes (one in PDX, the other in King Co. WA) that had penalties of $100,000.00 and $3.2 Million respectively. Here's a link to a more recent incident in California:

Please replace these grates (as well as check for others on your properties) with grates that are oriented perpendicular to the direction of travel, and equipped with straps to prevent a wheel from dropping in.
Thanks for your time,
God Bless!
