That looks just about right. The clamp on mine uses the same nut, same bolt-- but where the bolt passes through the eyelet/eye, the metal clamp actually folds around the "T" on the bolt and is riveted back to the clamp. I think the photo you posted is probably a better design-- stiffer/thicker metal on the clamp-- as it eliminates the possibility for what happened to my clamp!

In any case, I think something like that would work.
