The storm this morning was sweet. The storm going from the burbs towards Chicago wasn't as bad as the rain two weeks ago (couldn't see past 10 feet on the highway due to the torrential downpour), but there was some really cool lightning.
That being said, I don't really enjoy riding in the rain if I'm trying to go somewhere. I'll occasionally go ride in the rain for fun, though.
I'm super lucky because there is a free fitness center with lockers/showers/towel service in my office building. So I don't mind getting sopping wet from rain or sweat or both because I just shower and change into my work clothes once I get here. My only concern today is my bike shoes - they are soaked and even with the insoles out and the shoes/insoles sitting on the A/C vents all day, they may still be soggy for the ride home.
