Take it.
I've lived in suburbia (read: Mayberry) for the better part of the last 10 years. If you put **** out on your lawn or on the sidewalk out front of your house people will come and take it....furniture, old appliances, bikes.....If nobody comes and takes it in a few days time the cops will stop by and tell you to get it off the sidewalk.

Conversely If people leave **** on my lawn....and they do frequently....I get at least one half-eaten bag of McDonalds and a couple empty cans of soda a week I will take it lest the cops come and tell me to get it off the sidewalk (and they will). Same for bikes and anything else that ends up left in front. If you want your **** to remain your ****, don't leave it on my lawn.

You damn kids get off my lawn.
