I really hate the "can't afford a headset" crap. If you can afford a phone and service, (especially an iPhone and a data plan) you can afford a
$25 headset at Walmart or a
$6 one online. Personally, I paid about $30 on clearance for a combo speakerphone/MP3/FM transmitter and installed a new 12V socket for it beside the steering wheel; it auto-pauses the MP3 when the phone rings, and the mic, caller ID display and controls are already right there in front of me.
