Why would being carried by REI lessen the brand? They pretty much only charge list price and carry top brands in other sports, like camping/hiking/kayaking.

They have such great customer service and an amazing return policy, I buy most of my gear there. I rarely return anything because I do my research, but it is there if I need it and I have once or twice.
