Diet drinks- watch out for the KIND of sweetener used

As soon as I drank it I felt bloated. This morning I still feel bloated, and it would appear that I'm retaining about a pound of extra water weight.

Is this normal? Maybe this is a good lesson learned. Of course, it could have been anything I've eaten throughout the day, but my meals have been the same for about two weeks and I haven't been bloated like this before.

Thanks!
Sprite Zero is made with 75 mg of aspartame and 50 mg of acesulfame potassium. The only other thing I could think of that may be bad would be the sodium. I haven't looked it up, but generally, Zero calorie diet drinks are high in sodium. I don't really understand why sodium is all that bad for you other than it affects blood pressure and can make you retain water... which, hopefully, if we're doing our due diligence, we'll sweat out, right? :
