Campy 11sp 12-27 cassette. I have the opposite experience as you. For whatever reason, I prefer the little chainring until the pace gets high. I don't really have any need to be in the big ring all the time. I found what works for me. Obviously, what works for you is a bit different. Ride what makes you happy.
