For less money you can get what everybody in this forum raves about (http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/mercier/kilott.htm). I've never ridden one but they have an excelent reputation for a first (or even last) fixed gear bike.
I bought a Windsor a year back from BD before I really knew anything about bikes. The other day I was lucky enough to assemble a Kilo TT and knowing what I know about bikes now is that the TT was much better. Slightly higher end components and overall looked a lot cleaner. There is a reason everyone raves - go with this.
