Well there was some kind of a bur sticking up from inside the bracket shell when I got the frame (it was made from recycled bicycles) but I filed it down enough so that once I did manage to install the complete assembly it all slid together fine and the cranks turned freely.
Wonder if my LBS might have that press to service the internals.
Incidentally, I bought the Deore because it was labeled MTN and that's what my crankset is. The DuraAce said Road, what would the difference in quality be? Would the DuraAce have been more durable, or just lighter? I'd have paid more for something that would last longer.
