That's great about the PhD, maybe you can PM me about the school/program. And I don't want to put you on the defense or judge, so take this with a grain of salt, but not having a single A from a section is not necessarily a good thing. And this is probably not your fault, considering you're the TA/ graduate student instructor and the fact that majority of college/uni Professors have not completed a grad program in the art of teaching, which means many do not know how to teach effectively (I can think of a few during my time at Berkeley).
Holding students to high standards is necessary, however, not one single A means that the teacher needs to reflect on his/her practices and student needs, review assessment data, discern why and how things went south and reteach, so that students attain proficiency/mastery. And this may be the secondary teacher in me, as Unis have more of a sink or swim philosophy.
