Bell's range of helmets is broad. You can buy a basic helmet for a few bucks. I think I'd take the skating helmet to an LBS and compare it to a bike helmet. Maybe get the opinion of the owner/manager.

Then again, maybe Protec has a web site where you might find an answer.
