Recently I've been shopping for my first road bike in the L.A. area. I've been to 5 or 6 shops, and ridden a few. I've read on the forums that an LBS will give you a fitting...but I've experienced no such phenomenon. I'll stand over a bike and they'll tell me if it looks good or not, and after I test ride it they'll ask me if I like it. When I'm ready to buy a bike, is that when they give me the fitting? If so, what does that entail?
