I just wanted to share my WIfe and I bike setup, especially the compact lock which fit very neatly on the rear rack, I have seen many asking what would be the best lock for the Dahon and this might be the answer

The foldable lock mounted on the rack is the Abus Bordo Combo 6100 Lock - 90cm (435037)

The standard lock attached to the rack is an motion alarm activated lock. The alarm goes off only on the second detection to prevent false trigger. I tried 4 or 5 different alarm locks and this one came out the best imo, flexible, stealth, long battery life, etc. It is no brand lock so you can't find it online easily, I got mine on ebay, just search for "Bicycle alarm lock" and you'll find it from the picture. The BIONX kit is the PL250 Light G2 (newer console). The 250w motor is not really designed for 20" wheel BIONX said but I found it to be perfect for urban commute, the battery is lighter/smaller, acceleration are perfect and range is very good too. Only reason to go for the 500w motor/battery is for improved top speed. But imo the PLP250 top speed is just fine. Highly recommeded for the wife who can't keep up with the husband
