A fit is usually scheduled as an appointment.
Ordinarily you pay for a fit as a separate item. With that service you'll get a spec sheet that you can use at any bike shop or online.
If you want to pull the trigger and purchase a bike then there is usually some customary discount or full waive of the fit cost. It usually depends on the price of the bike you are buying as to how much of that fit's cost is adjusted.
