That's an interesting question... certainly worthy of its own thread. I'm guessing we'd all assume apathy, but I'd argue that many people aren't aware of these numbers. I mean, we get upset if a plane goes down with 200 passengers every 5 years, but the onesy-twosy car deaths never hit the radar.
