Nice writeup. Do you really feel like it helps to cram yourself with food before the ride like that? I've come to just the opposite conclusion. If you're well rested, your glycogen should be all topped up anyway, and a last-minute gut-full of food isn't going to change that, and will just make you nauseous during the ride. That's my experience anyway.
