I had a really great childhood growing just on the outskirts of Vancouver. Very much a Cleaver type household. My parents have been blessed with reasonably good health and they are still going strong. I have a great wife and two very different but wonderful daughters. My only complaint would be career related. I have been at home for about half of my 28 year marriage and have been unemployed 3 times for extended periods related to the economic times and the whims of new CEO's that want to make their mark...well,more so their personal financial gains at the expense of others. I find myself in that position again but very well prepared for it. This may provided a really nice summer for cycling while I plan my next position or perhaps a new micro career. At 51 and the girls in college, I am not ready to retire quite yet. Soon though but I am not enthused about another job flying airplanes.

Back to the question. Am I happy? Absolutely. Life is good, past present and future.
