Sstorkel, those coupons are a bit weird in what they can be applied to, but generally if an item isn't on sale, it'll take. The trick is trying to find a time when big-ticket items AREN'T on sale! I can't find anything on the Soma Saga-- their website may be down.
Cyclebum, I looked up the Trek Fx 7.3 and it looks awesome! Can anyone confirm that it has front rack capabilities? It looks like it does.
Bradtx, great advice about dedicated tourers. Both the bikes you linked are drop-bars. Should I just get over it and try and adapt, or stick with my aversion to them?

I'm going to keep looking for awhile longer, until the Topeak gear I have is almost past it's refund frame (60 days). I'll visit a few more bike shops and see what they can do for me. Thanks again everyone!
