What they'll do is get you a slope number and Qalvin lets you type it right in without going through the calibration process. That doesn't mean it won't change with swapping rings, usage and atmospheric conditions for which I know nothing about.

I don't but maybe I'm not trying hard enough. Seriously I just give the FD a little bigger gap. I haven't dropped a chain yet so maybe I found the right balance.
