Yeah, the whole "zomg noseless" stuff is all the rage this week because of the NYT article.
It seems fairly clear that pressure on the perineum is not good; it seems unlikely that the only way to reduce said pressure is by using a noseless saddle.
Plus, keep in mind that you steer with the nose of the saddle. If you're doing short little hops (like the bike cops), it doesn't make a big difference. If you're constantly on the bike for 100 miles, noseless might be less convenient.
