Pleasant ride to work this AM. Traffic was surprisingly light. Weather was nice, mid 70s, lots of sun, light breeze. Equipment worked flawlessly. Saw more cyclists than usual and the bike rack was fuller than it has been all year.

Had one of those perfect moments of quiet serenity when after I was passed by a truck, I was pushing up a small hill and there was no traffic noise, just me and the bike and the peace of the road. The trees have taken their summer foliage and the sunlight dappled thru the leaves creating a beautiful patten on the asphalt. I envied those who have bike paths and can enjoy this type of quiet, traffic-free ride on a daily basis, but for me, that moment was just about as perfect as a summer commute could be!
