according to bicyclesafe.com 1 in every 54 motorized vehicle deaths is a cyclist. who knows how accurate that is, but if i'm gonna get killed by a car it better damn well be on my bike.

other fun facts: most auto deaths occur in Texas, California, and New York. Nearly 50% of those killed are children (passengers) or at least that was true last time I checked (2003).
