Hi everyone,

I have this bike, and I want to convert it to a touring bike, Is this even a good idea, and if it is, what would I need to change as far as parts? I would like to get a rigid fork for it as well, but am not sure on right size to get? I am not to worried about the cost, but under a grand would be nice... for complete conversion.

Any advice on tools and spare parts that you bring with you would be good to know as well.

I realize asking someone to baby me through this is lame, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
