An interesting quote from the article:
"Villaraigosa's order mandates the construction of 40 miles of bikeways each year - a fourfold increase from the previous construction average, according to the mayor's office."
Could this be accurate? At that rate, it would take a couple of decades (42 years to be precise) to reach completion.
