i think you've really got a handle on this...

in everyday life i experience little or no handicap with the use of one eye. only occasionally, do i notice it.

when, for instance, someone tosses me a set of keys. like at a bar, when they think, I'M the one who is sober enough to drive home. under these circumstances i know that i have no chance of catching those keys, so in a socially defensive maneuver, i stand stock still, expressionless, and let the keys fall where they may. sometimes hitting me in the chest, flying over my head, landing on the floor in front of me, etc. then, after an appropriate time, usually a second or two, i pick them up, without a word.

surprisingly, it rarely fails to get a laugh or two, and nobody is the wiser to the fact that i really had no chance of catching those keys anyway.
