Yeah. :/ But it's okay though, as tjspiel said it's likely that eventually I would have just replaced the wheel to a cassette anyway, so in the long run I am saving a few bucks even if it is a bit more expensive now.

As you can see, they don't look a whole lot different, which I like. The rear wheel does have a different hub, a quick release, and black spokes though.

Shimano hyperglide 7 speed cassette. I would have sprung for an 8 speed, but 7 was all he had that would have worked with my current chain. That's okay for now, I treat my bike like a 4 speed with the friction shifters most of the time anyway. New cassette is 13-28t, so I should have a little better top speed.
Weinmann aluminum wheel. Anyone know anything about these?
Shimano FH-RM30 hub.
I'd really like to go for a test ride to see how nicely that hyperglide cassette shifts, but I'm flat worn out from today's ride. Maybe later. 530 miles on the bike now.
