Weinmann makes good low end rims and other components. I have a set of there rims, they are good. The RM-30 hub is likewise good quality low end. Both will last forever with proper maintenance.
Do you have an 8 speed hub with a 4.5mm spacer or a seven speed hub and no spacer? The RM-30 was offered both ways, though it is hard to find the seven speed version.

I have an 8 speed hub with a spacer, so future (WAY in the future) upgrades should be relatively simple. Even if I stick with 8 speed, 8 speed brifters are much easier to find than 7.
