Will changing to a 11-26 cassette give me a little more on the top end?
For me, with a compact crank, the 11-25 cassette works perfect for hilly areas. If you do a lot of descending, it's pretty easy to spin out a 50x12. However, I would keep riding though, and as you get stronger and want to upgrade some things, get that new cassette.

This for sure. I hate the fact that Cannondale has so willingly adopted the use of FSA cranksets. I've never been happy with FSA's shifting quality, especially compared to Shimano which may be the best shifting crank on the market. I guess it's part of the deal with BB30 standard now since Shimano isn't on board with BB30.
