I'm all ears on suggestions for the saddle? What's a good saddle that I can buy which will last me a good number of years?
I haven't spun out on my compact but I haven't pushed it really hard downhill yet. Top speed so far was 38 MPH but that was with a backpack on with some decent weight 25 lbs give or take.
I'm wiping down my CAAD 10 after every ride like it was a porche/ferrari! It's absolutely night and day difference from the other 2 bikes I was riding the past year and half. As my mom would say "A little piece of heaven on earth!"...
Saddles are personal. As long as you can stand the one you have, ride with it while you look into other saddles. You LBS might have a bin where they keep brand new "take-off" saddles when someone else upgrades that you might upgrade to. You'll know it's time to upgrade when your saddle begins to limit how long you can remain comfortable on your bike.
No one can tell you what the best saddle is for you. Only you can know that from experience.
