I like the way my black BMX pedals look on my old trek 930. They look kind of out of place but tough at the same time. I also use my bike mostly for commuting and urban riding and want/need to be able to wear any kind of shoe for the specific task after the ride (work, shopping, hanging out with friends, trail running, etc..). I don't wear cycling shoes and I most often end up wearing my nike trail runners while riding and I find them the most comfortable to ride in.
