Yeah, I don't have a whole lot of stops. I much prefer just cruising around without stopping as much as possible, avoiding the huge hills if I can!
Finally got my tire issue fixed. Read around a bit, then changed out the tube for the heck of it and reseated the tire. Still was having a thump to it, but it wasn't in the same place. So I took the advice of Sheldon Brown and inflated the tire 20 psi over (to 100 psi) and let it sit that way overnight. Perfect! Tire is seated properly and it rides butter smooth again.
Noises in 3-4-5 have stopped but I still feel some vibration.
Bike rides great, but I REALLY miss the 28 tooth cog. I'm adapting to it though, like I adapted to the 52 tooth chainring when I swapped out the 48. 550 miles on the bike now. Shifting and gear retention is great. It's very easy to judge shift points and adjust from there without it deciding that it wants to shift again.
Also found out my old weight readings were wrong.

I've still lost 38 pounds, because at least the old scale was consistent. Unfortunately it was also consistently wrong...about 15 pounds light wrong. So I've got further to go than I thought, but that's okay. At least now I have confidence in what the scale is telling me.
