You know, I have to give Metro credit for making an attempt to make transit more accessible to cyclists. I've been commuting by bike to USC via the Redd Line for the past three years, and there has been a good deal of progress from then until now. Repealing that idiotic ban on bikes on the Red line between Union Station and Wilshire during rush hour was a logical first step, but removing seating, (which I'm sure pissed a lot of train riders off), to allow more space for riders and their bikes was a great move. This next step of having ambassadors on the subway to answer questions and encourage good behavior makes a lot of sense. Like you said Alice, it should be interesting to see how it works out.
Now, if the Metro can just figure out how to stop running those shortened Purple Line trains on the Red Line route, everything would be beautiful!
