Get a used Edge 500 on eBay. Edge 500 is one of the better things I've bought. Just discovered strava.com as well for tracking. Finding Strava really neat so far, the segments feature is great.

Oh and they do have an iPhone app as well if you don't have a Garmin. But seriously, I don't know how I'd live without my Edge 500 now. Great little device.
