PRd my commute. Happy day!!

I started my 9.71 miles to work at 0710 I arrived at 0745. Ordinarily I would start at 0700 or 0705 and arrive at 0745 or 0749 at the latest.

I have been feeling good lately. I have dropped 5 pounds and gained some muscle and I dropped a racer on the commute home last night like a hot potato.

I caught him on a hill and he proceeded to cut my line for the first downhill which irked me. I managed to get in front of him on the second down hill and moved my bike to 53/20 cranked. I made a hard right almost wiping out and then a hard left and slammed my bike to 53/12 and cranked. I dropped into the drops and cranked hard. He was hard in my draft until the small roller when I upshifted one gear and then back into 53/12. Another hard left and another upshift till I made another hard right then back to 53/12 and into the drops. I never saw him again.

It felt so good. I did not let up though. I kept cranking as hard as I could until I got home. Which again was another PR. I left work at 1710 and arrived at 1745. Usually I arrive leave at the same time and arrive at 1815 or so.
