Tour de France, definitely. Huge mountains that must be climbed on bikes, in race format.
I know its not a mtb race, but thursdays stage took 6 hours. I can't think of many sports which go on for 6 hours with no breaks.
In the sun for 6 hours, and you do that 6 days a week, for 3 weeks.
If it was a horse race, animal rights activist would have stopped it years ago.
