" Bike" is a sum of the parts attached to the frame

I have a new found fondness for the Precision and convenience,
of the German made Rohloff Internal Gear hub,
those are not cheap ..
but amortized over decades of riding , not bad,
as just 1 sprocket and a chain to replace as wear occurs.
and an oil change in the hub every year or 2

But in the bike shop you can ride away on a decent bike for 4~500 bucks.
