Vuelta Pista crankset - JIS or ISO, spindle length needed?

i'm sure some of you have encountered these cranks. price seems too good to be true. on closer look, knowing very little about bottom brackets and stuff, i'm realizing that some info is missing - most importantly whether they are ISO or JIS. I've seen both on various forums, BF.net included. Most retailers selling these cranks omit such information, but i have seen a few who claim they are JIS. I've also heard that they're actually made by Sugino, thus likely are JIS. Sheldon Brown said that he has interchanged JIS/ISO with success, but says so somewhat paradoxically: "I generally avoid mixing sizes on customers' bikes, but I have a lot of experience mixing ISO/J.I.S. in both directions on my own personal bikes, and it as never given me a lick of trouble." (source) Hard to tell if he did so for fixed/SS bikes or what.

Another issue is length of the BB spindle. On the listing above it says 107-108mm, but sometimes a listing will say that 103 mm is recommended.

Does anyone have a definitive answer to this crankset's mysterious specs? Or are they just more trouble than they're worth?

I'm thinking about doing just my second conversion and would like to some decent stuff without breaking the bank. I'm new to all this, so as always, whatever info you have is greatly appreciated.
