This is why I try to where a white t-shirt in hot weather.

Helmet ventilation does not equate to a good safety rating.

I have the Bell Slant which is highly rated http://www.bhsi.org/helmet11.htm by Consumer Reports.

The helmet has a lot of ventilation.
