Apparently JL's crash was a "racing incident". He hit a manhole cover and it appears that he couldn't pedal after the hit. I examined his bike a bit after the crash and his front der was jammed into his wheel. I'm wondering if that locked his rear wheel, which is what appears happened - his rear wheel doesn't turn, his pedals don't turn, and he crashes hard.
